How to manage Zeus AI Profiles
Last updated September 17, 2026
Overview
Profiles define distinct setups for your Zeus AI assistant. Different customers have different needs—a VIP buyer requires a different set of answers than someone asking basic support questions. Profiles allow you to create custom personas, each with its own knowledge base, and specific instructions, so your AI always speaks the right language to the right audience.
Key features
- Custom Identity: Give each profile a clear name, a distinct color badge for easy dashboard identification, and a unique key for system tracking.
- Tailored Knowledge: Load specific guides, docs, or protocols into a profile so the AI answers exclusively with relevant information.

FAQs & Troubleshooting
Why isn't Zeus AI using the new profile I just created?
Creating a profile is only the first step. You must also map the profile based on customer attributes, channels, or integrations, and assign it to the relevant knowledge snippets. Review the guides on profile mapping and adding customer profiles to knowledge snippets to complete the setup.
Can I change the profile key after creating a profile?
No. The profile key is automatically generated upon creation to maintain consistency across API access and prompt references. While you can edit descriptive details like the profile name, description, and color badge, the profile key cannot be edited.
What happens to my knowledge snippets if I delete a profile?
When a profile is deleted, it is permanently removed from the system and automatically unlinked from all routing rules and knowledge snippets. The knowledge snippets and rules remain in your workspace.
Can I restore a deleted profile?
No. Deleted profiles are permanently removed and cannot be restored. If you need to bring a profile back, you will need to click "+ Add profile" and recreate its configuration from scratch.
How do I differentiate profiles in the Zeus AI dashboard?
Assign distinct hex colors to each profile during setup. These colors act as visual badges, making it easy to quickly identify and filter profiles across your dashboard.
