Zeus AI Configurations Overview

Overview
Configurations is the backend control room. If Agent defines how Zeus AI thinks and Platform defines where it shows up, Configurations defines who it's talking to and how your own systems plug in — the credentials that authenticate external requests, and the profiles that let Zeus AI treat different customers differently instead of giving everyone the exact same experience.
Key features
- API: Authentication tokens, webhook secrets, and user signing secrets to securely connect custom apps and backend systems directly to Zeus AI.
- Profiles: Distinct personas — each with its own name, description, color badge, tailored knowledge base, and protocols — built for different customer segments or use cases.
- Profile mapping: Ordered, conditional rules based on customer attributes, channel, or integration that automatically route each conversation to the right profile, including an "Always Escalate" option that skips AI handling entirely.
Best practice for you
Design your Profiles before you touch routing: decide which customer segments genuinely need different knowledge or tone (VIP vs. standard, by region, by product line) and build those first. Then use Profile mapping to route automatically, ordering rules from most specific to most general — the first matching rule wins, so the order matters as much as the conditions.
