How to manage Zeus AI Agent Tone

Last updated September 15, 2026

Overview

Tone & Company information settings allow you to define both background company knowledge and specific communication styles for your Zeus AI. Think of tone configurations as the digital style guide or persona guidelines you would give to human agents when onboarding them. Company information provides a brief description of your organization to help the AI understand customer questions, while tone configurations dictate the AI's communication style, vocabulary, and overall conversational approach across interactions.

Unlike protocols, neither company information nor tone configurations require a separate draft or publishing workflow; created and updated settings take effect immediately across customer-facing channels.

Key features

  • Company briefing: Add a brief description of your business to give Zeus AI context about your services, values, and domain when answering questions.
  • Custom instructions & style rules: Define precise guidelines for tone, voice, sentence structure, and communication approach.
  • Concrete response examples: Add real sample replies directly to the configuration to train Zeus AI on exact phrasing and style expectations.
  • Immediate deployment: Changes, updated company briefs, and newly created tones apply instantly to active Zeus AI interactions without extra publishing steps.

How to configure the company information

Setting up your company information gives Zeus AI key background knowledge about your business, products, or services. This helps Zeus AI to understand the company context and deliver answers that match your industry and brand.

  1. Go to " Zeus AI > Agent > Tone " and locate "Company information".
  2. Enter a brief description of your business in the "Company brief" field.
  3. Click "Save". The background context updates immediately.

How to create a tone configuration

Creating a tone configuration establishes specific communication guidelines and sample phrases for different support scenarios. You can set up multiple tone configurations to handle different situations—such as a warm tone for onboarding versus a formal tone for escalations—keeping Zeus AI's personality, vocabulary, and response style completely consistent with your brand voice across all interactions.

  1. Go to " Zeus AI > Agent > Tone ", scroll to "Tone configurations", and click "+ Add Configuration".
  2. Enter a clear "Name" for this tone (For example: Friendly Support, Formal Escalation).
  3. Enter your style guidelines into the "Instructions" to describe the tone and communication approach.
  4. Add sample phrases into the "Examples" fields to demonstrate exact wording. Click "Add Example" to include additional samples if needed.
  5. Click "Create". The tone configuration is saved and active immediately.

How to edit a tone configuration

  1. Go to " Zeus AI > Agent > Tone ", locate the configuration you want to edit, click the ellipsis icon, and select "Edit".
  2. Apply your desired changes to the "Name", "Instructions", or "Examples".
  3. Click "Save" to immediately update how Zeus AI communicates.

How to delete a tone configuration

  1. Go to " Zeus AI > Agent > Tone ", locate the configuration you want to remove, click the ellipsis icon, and select "Delete".
  2. Click "Delete Configuration" to confirm the action.
💡

Important: Deleted tone configurations cannot be restored.

FAQs & Troubleshooting

What happens when I update the company information or create/edit a tone configuration?

Since company information and tone configurations do not use a draft or approval queue, any update, new configuration, or edit takes effect immediately across Zeus AI's active customer support interactions.

What happens if I delete a tone configuration?

Deleting a tone configuration permanently removes it from Zeus AI and immediately stops applying those voice guidelines. Deletion cannot be undone or restored.

How do tone configurations differ from protocols?

Protocols define what actions and response structures Zeus AI follows for specific workflows (like account deletion or refunds) and feature draft/published states. Tone configurations define how Zeus AI speaks and formats its voice across conversations without needing a publish step.
