How to Remove Your Help Center from Google Search Results

Last updated January 24, 2025

If you want to prevent your Help Center from being searchable on Google, follow the steps outlined below. This guide will help you manage the visibility of your help pages effectively.

Steps to Remove Indexed Pages

  1. Verify Ownership: Ensure that you have verified the ownership of your Help Center URL (e.g., help.superorder.com) in  Google Search Console . If your main domain (superorder.com) is already verified, you may need to add the subdomain as a new property.
  2. Submit a Removal Request:
  • Navigate to the Removals section in Google Search Console.
  • Submit a new request to remove all URLs with the prefix of your Help Center.
  • This action will temporarily hide the URLs from search results for about six months.
  1. Addressing Errors: If you encounter an error stating 'URL not in property', it means that the subdomain was not verified. You will need to add help.superorder.com as a new property in Google Search Console.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage the visibility of your Help Center and protect sensitive information from competitors.
